BIO
Nancy Vala sees movies in her head and writes them down in short stories, a mystery novel in draft form, ‘Get Lost’, poems and songs.
She is a singer/songwriter in an all-woman rock band, a painter, a yoga instructor and a solitary dancer. She has lived and wandered across the United States and Europe.
Her travel memoir, “On Down the Road” was included in Best Womens Travel Writing, 2009 (Travelers Tales)
She has worked at numerous newspapers as an artist while absorbing the ideas of writing clean copy, factual research and the powers of observation. She cofounded “The Budapest Sun” in Hungary. Nancy has worked as a graphic designer and illustrator for the last 30 years.
